Things to consider to prepare for your visit

Please arrive before your allotted appointment time to complete your paperwork and prep for your treatment. Please follow all your pre and post treatment advice to ensure the best outcome. If the doctor decides on the appointment day that there is a reason for your treatment to not go ahead, you will have the chance to reschedule your appointment free of charge.

 

  • Please call and reschedule if you are feeling unwell or currently on antibiotics/short term prescribed medication. Your healing will be impaired and this will effect your treatment. If you are unsure please call and speak to one of our team.
  • Avoid taking anti – inflammatory medication for at least 48 hours before your procedure. Please check with our team if you are not sure if your medication is under this classification. This medication will thin your blood which increases your risk of bruising and bleeding and also stops your bodies natural inflammatory response which will effect the efficacy of rejuvenation treatments
  • Stop all topical retinols and steroidal based creams for 48 hours.
  • Treatment is not recommended within 2 weeks of having a vaccination
  • Treatments options may be limited or not recommended during pregnancy, breast feeding or for those trying to conceive.
  • Flying within 7 days of your service is not recommended
  • Make sure you are aware of the down time of your treatment, plan so you are able to take it easy for a few days after your treatment.
  • No heat treatments (sauna/spa/hot shower), swimming or strenuous exercise for 48 hours
  • All our treatments have research and proof of efficacy however realistic results and expectations should be in mind. There are no guarantees and effects will vary from treatment to treatment.

First Appointment

N​ew patients wanting treatment options performed by our medical practitioners will have to come in for a consultation prior to treatment.

i) ‘New patient consultation without a treatment on the day $80 allow 30 minutes

ii) ‘New patient consultation +having treatment on the day if appropriate (Consult fee may be waived)

In 2024 advertising for Surgical and Non – Surgical  Cosmetic Treatments came under review and changed the way we are able to advertise and deliver information to consumers.  The guidelines that have been set are strict and finite. The detailed list of “no longer allowed” is why you are probably seeing less adds, hearing less adds and hitting brick walls searching for treatments and prices. 

We aim to provide our customers with all the information that is needed to make informed choices on what services best suites them, even though the delivery methods have changed. Below is more information in regards to the governing bodies and relevant new rules.

The governing Bodies – 

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) is our government agency who regulate Australia’s registered health practitioners. 

The Medical Board of Australia (National Board), who are a part of Ahpra, is responsible for regulating medical practitioners across Australia, setting standards, and protecting the public by ensuring practitioners meet required standards. They make the decisions in regards to medical registrations and complaints.

The TGA, or Therapeutic Goods Administration, is Australia’s regulatory authority for therapeutic goods, ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of medicines, medical devices, and biologicals used in the Australian healthcare system. The TGA regulates the supply, import, export, manufacturing, and advertising  of the above.

This may be the reason why you have not been able to find the information you where looking for which was previously accessible. We endeavour to provide as much information and advise that we can however this must now be done in person.

From March 7th 2024 it was clarified that some previously accepted methods of communicating with patients and marketing are now prohibited. There are allot of changes, we will outline some of the  major changes that most affect consumers.  Our website, clinic and social media will continue to change to stay within current regulations. 

1) Advertising medical procedures and pricing of treatments is no longer allowed, advertising treatments which contain schedule 4 medication is also banned.  (Wrinkle relaxer and dermal fillers are both prescription drugs)

​​​2) Listing specific treatments/ using adjacent wording for those treatments  such as wrinkle relaxer, dermal filler, injectables is now prohibited.

​​We are unable to list prices on our website or send quotes by email or private messages on social media. Pricing and quotes can only be obtained after a  consultation with our medical practitioners to discuss your concerns and explore treatment options best suited to you. No discounts, complimentary services or bonus’s are to be offered. All clients will be assessed for body dysmorphic disorder at point of consultation.

These have traditionally been used by practitioners to help illustrate what treatments can do and look like. They can still be shown in the privacy of a consultation but are now not allowed to be used for marketing or on social media. 

Due to all the new rules and regulations an appointment with a healthcare provider will be required for quotation of prices and alternative solutions.
