How does radio-frequency skin tightening work?
The Pellevé is a unique device that produces harmless, high frequency radio waves. When it is used on the skin, it precisely heats the deep layers of the skin without damaging the surface, causing the collagen in your skin to tighten and therefore tightening the skin and reducing wrinkles. Over time, it will also stimulate new collagen to be formed.
Where can radiofrequency skin tightening be used?
It can be used almost anywhere on your skin of your face or body, even on delicate areas around the eyes to create a lifting effect.
On the body, it tightens the skin and also temporarily improves the appearance of cellulite by assisting lymphatic drainage and tightening collagen.
What does Pellevé feel like?
A Pellevé treatment feels like a hot stone massage on the skin as the handpieces your therapist will use will heat the skin.
Do I need local anaesthetic to have a treatment?
No, it is a comfortable procedure and no local anaesthetic is needed.
What can I expect after my radiofrequency skin tightening treatment?
Your skin may feel slightly tender and appear slightly red but this will all settle soon afterwards. You can return to normal activities straight away after treatment.
What effect will radiofrequency skin tightening have on my skin?
Your skin will immediately feel tighter and wrinkles and lines will appear smoother. You will have a post-treatment “glow” that will last up to 3 days.
Between days 4-15 your body’s natural healing process comes into play and collagen starts to be made, plumping and firming the skin.
From 15 days post-treatment and weeks to months later, collagen formation and remodelling continues to happen.
How many sessions are recommended?
For best results, we recommend 6 sessions 3-4 weeks apart. This has been shown to have the best results as it promotes long term collagen synthesis and remodelling. We offer heavily discounted package prices to allow you to achieve your best results.
What other treatments can be used with radiofrequency skin tightening?
Radiofrequency skin tightening is a fantastic standalone treatment or it can be done in combination with other treatments, such as laser or IPL on your face, or laser fat reduction on your chin and body to enhance the fat reduction and stimulate lymphatic drainage.
How much does Pellevé skin tightening cost?
The cost of Pellevé treatment depends on the area being treated. As an example, a full face treatment costs $500, neck costs $450 or face & neck combination costs $800.
We heavily discount packages of treatments to allow you get the best effect for the best value so for example, a package price of 6 face + neck treatments is $4300 if paid in two installments or $4000 if paid in one installment.
