Cosmetic Mole Removal
Our Process
At Rewind Skin & Laser, we use the Pellevé®, a unique non-invasive radiofrequency device that creates radio waves to make very fine and precise incisions in the skin. This allows us to remove moles with minimal to no scarring.
How does radio-frequency surgery work?
Because radiofrequency surgery uses radio waves instead of a scalpel, very fine and precise incisions can be made. Only the tissue cells next to the wire electrode are affected and are vaporised, instead of being cut out with a manual scalpel. The radio waves also stop any bleeding during the procedure, which minimises bruising and swelling.
What kind of results can I expect?
The results are excellent and consistent, with minimal swelling, scarring or other complications and recovery time is quick.
How much does radiofrequency cosmetic mole removal cost?
For removing moles on the face, we charge $310 for one mole. If you have have more than one mole on your face, the second mole is an additional $155. For every additional mole after that, it is an additional cost of $80 per mole. For moles on the body, we charge $205 for one mole, an additional $110 for a second mole and $60 for each additional mole after that.
Please note that cosmetic mole removal is an entirely private procedure and no medicare rebates are available. If Dr McDonnell is suspicious about the appearance of any mole, he will direct you to Core Medical for a skin cancer check and possible biopsy.
